Let’s Start This Journey Together
About me and my work
I’m so glad you’re here. I am Caitlin, a licensed clinical social worker and I’m looking forward to having the opportunity to work with you.
Before becoming a therapist, I was an artist—I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, with a focus on painting and drawing. Creativity has always been a part of how I see and understand the world, and that perspective deeply influences my work as a therapist. I believe that everyone is unique and creative in their own way.
Over the past 14 years, I’ve worked in various roles supporting adults with severe and persistent mental illness, substance use challenges, and those navigating being houseless, as well as working in inpatient settings with individuals in acute mental health distress. All of these experiences solidified my belief that all people are worthy and capable of healing.
All are welcome here! Especially folks who are LGBTQIA+, BIPOC folks, women, parents, and those navigating life transitions. If you’re experiencing feelings of anxiety, depression, or the lingering impact of trauma, you don’t have to go through it alone. I am here to support you in making sense of these experiences, finding balance, and reconnecting with yourself in a way that feels authentic and meaningful.
My goal is to walk alongside you, helping you navigate life’s challenges with more ease, self-compassion, and clarity. Healing is possible and I would be honored to be part of your journey.
About my personal self
Outside of the therapy room, I am a Chicago native and have been in the Portland area since 2017. I am a white, cis-gendered female, and I am a mother to two beautiful kids. Creativity for me looks different than it used to, lately that looks like building very specific lego masterpieces, making collaborative art projects, and making sourdough bread. When I’m not doing that, I am enjoying as much pizza as possible and getting outside whenever I can (hiking, biking, and exploring). Let’s get started- Lego bricks not required.
